Camille Weber

Camille is a graduate of James Madison University whose career path has brought her back home to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She studied history and Spanish, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in May 2017. Her summer during college as an Education Intern at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, LA was her introduction to the inner workings of the museum world. Call it a coming of age story, maturing, or just realizing what you want in life, since that fateful summer she’s been weaving her way on a path dedicated to furthering our historical narratives through a connection with the public. As the friendly Visitor Engagement Specialist of Dumbarton House throughout the week and on the weekends, Camille, with a Docent by her side, creates a welcoming and informative atmosphere for visitors who come from all walks of life. Since joining the team in May 2017, her favorite moment was when a family of Nourse descendants toured for the first time and left the museum in awe of the legacy their family left behind.

Lin Manuel Miranda (yes, the Hamilton: An American Musical creator!) once wrote her a letter and opening her mailbox to that is still one of the best moments of her life.
