Assembling the Bedstead and Dressing the Bed: Reinstalling Our Historic Rooms Series
May 4 @ 1:00 pm-2:00 pm$10.00 - $20.00
Following a major HVAC (heating, ventilation, and cooling) renovation and window restoration project, this behind-the-scenes tour offers the unique opportunity to learn and see the process and intricacies of installing objects in an historic house museum. Visitors will spend part of this tour with our Curatorial and Collection team as they demonstrate how to assemble our 1785 bedstead (actually made up of three different beds!) and highlight the process of dressing a Federal period bed with various textiles.
