Meet our Milliner
Susie Barford first entered the millinery world in 2015 when a client of her marketing brand asked her to create hats for the Royal Enclosure at Ascot; the most famous event in the British race day calendar. Susie had always had an interest in customizing and making her own clothes and being British, she had always admired the hats worn by the Royal family at major events. This natural curiosity and a creative flair compelled her to learn how to make her own hats and start her own business, Susie Barford Millinery.
Susie was recently invited to become a member of the Royal Enclosure at Ascot. She absolutely loves to wear her own designs and also makes couture hats for clients going to special occasions and horse race events the world over. She divides her time between her millinery studios based in Georgetown, DC and Notting Hill, London.
