VIP Group Tour

Cost per person

Self-Guided Museum Tour
  • Groups of five or more persons must schedule a visit
  • Self-guided tour groups will be met by a representative of Dumbarton House and given a brief orientation
  • Group size: Minimum five persons and maximum 30
  • Available Tuesday through Sunday; Requests for tours at other times can be entertained
  • Registration two weeks is recommended
$5 for one to four persons;
$4 for five or more

Docent-led

Museum Tour
  • Duration: Appoximately 45 minutes
  • Personalized tours tailored to specific interests can be arranged
  • Group size: Minimum 10 persons and maximum 40; Special arrangements must be made for groups of 40 or more; Large groups can be accommodated in several smaller tour groups
  • For groups of 10 or more persons, registration four weeks in advance is required
  • For groups comprising one to nine individuals, registration at least three business days in advance is recommended
$5 for one to five persons;
$4 for six or more; Discount only with preregistration

Curator-led

Museum Tour
  • Duration: Between one hour and 90 minutes
  • In-depth “white glove” tour of the museum’s collection led by the curator, with a senior docent for larger groups
  • Personalized tours tailored to specific interests can be arranged
  • Group size: Maximum 30 persons
  • Registration five weeks in advance is recommended
$50 for up to five guests;
Additional guests, $10 each

VIP Museum Tour
  • Duration: Ninety minutes to two hours
  • A personal welcome by the executive director
  • In-depth “white glove” tour of the museum’s collection led by the curator, with a senior docent for larger groups
  • View a rarely seen object currently not on view
  • Personalized tours tailored to specific interests can be arranged
  • Group Size: Maximum 30
  • Reservations five weeks in advance are recommended
$75 for up to five guests; additional guests, $15 each
 
Special Options
  • Available: Tea, box lunch, evening cocktails, or dinner rental before or after tours
