Join us as Dumbarton House hosts Archaeology in the Community‘s 6th Annual Day of Archaeology Festival.

Join us for our season end Tuesday evening concert at Dumbarton House,

performed by the Friday Morning Music Club.

Performances for June 13th include:

French Songs.  Deborah Sternberg, soprano; Charles Mokotoff, lute.

  Purcell, Henry: selected works.  Nancy MacArthur Smith, soprano; David Wolff, tenor; Ben Wallis, baritone;

Vera Kochanowsky, harpsichord.

 Bach, Johann Sebastian.  Doug Wolters, cello.

Concerts are held in the museum’s Belle Vue Room, which can be accessed through the lower terrace.

Groups are welcome. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

Haydn, Franz Joseph: Quartet in B-flat Major, Op. 55, No. 3.  Connie Milner and Gail MacColl, violins; Caroline Brethauer, viola;

Joanna Taylor, cello.

DKMC Walk Weekend

The Dupont-Kalorama Museums Consortium (DKMC) was established in 1983 to promote “off the Mall” museums and their neighborhoods. The consortium currently consists of Anderson House (Society of the Cincinnati), Dumbarton House, Mary McLeod Bethune Council House NHS, the National Museum of American Jewish Military History, The Phillips Collection, and The President Woodrow Wilson House.

Walk Weekend is an annual event hosted by DKMC in early June. For two days, participating DKMC museums open their doors to visitors FREE of charge, often offering special programming and extended hours for visitors.
