Girl Scout Program: Inspired Painter Overnight – SOLD OUT

Sorry, this event is sold out. Armed with artistic inspiration from the various 18th-19th century art forms at Dumbarton House, Brownies expand their art vocabulary and create their own artwork to take home! Explore how to express yourself in a self-portrait and share a story by painting a group mural.

Overnight programs begin at 7:30pm and conclude by 8am the next day. A light breakfast is provided the morning of departure. This program fufills the Painting Badge steps 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. All programs include a snack and Dumbarton House patch. Please complete a registration form and a member of the Education Department will contact you about availability and to collect a $50 deposit. Advanced registration is required.

With their scavenger hunt and haversack, scouts will tour the museum to learn what life would have been like for children in the Federal Period. Afterwards it’s time to play! Brownies will try games from the period and reinvent the rules to come up with a new game to play with their fellow scouts. This program completes steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Making Games Badge. All programs include a snack and Dumbarton House patch. Please complete a registration form and a member of the Education Department will contact you about availability and to collect a $50 deposit. Advanced registration is required.
