DESCRIPTION:\nBy learning about seasonality, the labor of planting seeds, and how gardens were depicted in the Federal period, Girl Scouts and children from the general public will appreciate where their food comes from and recognize the importance of gardens in the past and the present. Registration includes a tour of the house, a garden activity booklet, and a real planting to take home!\n\n\n\nRegister for a time slot and if your child is a Girl Scout, she will complete all the necessary steps to earn her Gardener Badge! (She will receive a Dumbarton House patch, but we do not provide the badges.)\n\n\n\nThis program is meant for children. Adults who are unaccompanied by children will be asked to leave. There are no refunds except in cases of illness. The program will take place rain or shine.\n\n\n\nEmail education@dumbartonhouse.org with questions.\n\n\n\n\n
