Samantha Hatton
Collections Manager
Sammie started at Dumbarton House as the Collections and Archives Assistant, with a brief foray into the Special Projects department, before moving into her current position. As Collections Manager, she oversees the care of all objects within our collections and archives. She holds an MA in Museum Studies from the George Washington University and a BA in History from Ohio University. She has previously worked at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Montgomery History in Rockville, MD, and the Ohio History Connection in Columbus, OH.

Fun Fact: Sammie lived in Fairbanks, AK for a summer to complete an internship during graduate school. She would love to go back to experience the winter there and see the northern lights during her next visit.
