Grace Duckett: Woman, Mother, Enslaved Worker Research Update

Last year, historians at Dumbarton House shared newly uncovered information about Grace Duckett, a woman who was enslaved on the property. As part of our continued commitment to learning more about the history of our site, our historians dedicated time this winter to take another deep dive into the archives and learn more about Grace and her family. During this virtual program we will share what else we have learned as well as where and how we uncovered more information about Grace’s life.
