
9th Annual Jane Austen Film Festival
COVID-19 Announcement:
In the interest of public health we are not holding an in-person film festival during the summer of 2020. We are staying abreast of the situation with COVID-19 and will follow the recommendations of local government and health care professionals about when it is safe to come together in groups again. Please see below for a selection of virtual, Jane Austen themed events. We hope these will events will tide you over until we’re able to gather again and enjoy films in the garden!
Admission to this summer’s virtual offerings is a pay-what-you-wish donation. All programs will start at 7pm. Please sign up no later than the Tuesday before each program in order to receive information and links.

July 1st- Jane Austen Trivia Night
Spend an evening testing your knowledge of the author, books, and movies we all love! Bring together a team of Jane Austen lovers for this virtual competition. Winners will receive one free admission to the next in-person film festival!
July 8th- How to Make an Austen Tea Party
Join us for a workshop on Austen tea parties! Learn the etiquette, recipes, and social graces necessary for any Austen hero or heroine.
July 15th- Mansfield Park (2000) Netflix Watch Party
Watch this Jane Austen classic with fellow Austen enthusiasts! A valid Netflix account is required in order to join the Netflix party. Get set up with Netflix party by installing the Google Chrome extension available here. We will be posting fun facts and questions for debate throughout the movie!
July 22nd- Historian and Author Panel
Join us for a panel discussion with three Austen scholars. We will hear from Kim Wilson on Jane Austen party culture, Sheryl Craig on Regency money and economics, and Carrie Bebris on the types a men a young lady might encounter while socializing in the Regency period. Each panelist will speak for approximately half an hour and we will finish up with a Q&A.
July 29th- Pride and Prejudice Scavenger Hunt
Watch Pride and Prejudice in the comfort of your home and participate in a scavenger hunt within a move! Rent the movie and then decipher clues and riddles to complete the scavenger hunt.
